Guimarães

I will write today in English for a change. Last weekend we went to Guimarães with Foix, Kautar, Heljä and Fanni. We decided to do this trip the day before it and the next morning we met at the train station São Bento at 10 o'clock. If you know me, you also know that I wasn't there at 10 o'clock. Me and Foix were ten minutes late but I called Kautar to buy me a ticket also, so everything was fine and we were on time. The train was super full, so we had to stand until we were too tired of it and just sat at the floor. It takes from Porto to Guimarães about one hour and a half and costs 5 euros there and back.

We walked into the city center and then towards the castle. The city was nice and it didn't take long until we were at the palace and it was also really nice. It looked more like a castle. During our tour in the palace we started to feel hungry and decided to go to eat before going through the castle.

Our wallets are not too thick so we wanted to find a cheap place where to eat. Luckily we found  quite quickly a good place. Some pasta and burgers made every girl happy. And of course we enjoyed some ice cream afterwards. Time went by so fast and we wanted to go also with the cable car to the top of Guimarães. So we decided to skip the castle and it was worth it!

Views were awesome and there was lots to see at the top. There were huge rocks and even climbers climbing them, I kinda felt like wanting to join them. We did a small tour there and just relaxed a bit. The day had been super nice but we were all also soo tired. So we went back to the train station and back to good old Porto. When I got home I went straight to bed.
